Conservation board approves wetland order, tree removals
Conservation Commission · Meeting of September 22, 2026
Tyngsborough Conservation Commission issues wetland delineation order, approves tree removals, reorganizes leadership. The board voted unanimously to issue an order of resource area delineation for 475-501 Landoff Dunstable Road, adopting seven findings from peer reviewer Horsley and Witten, including that a hydrological connection between two wetland areas remains unconfirmed. Members approved selective pruning of 201 trees and removal of four for Outfront Media's sign visibility at 120 Western Road, and approved removal of 16 dead or hazardous trees at 116 Pawtucket Boulevard.
Conservation Director Emilie Brush said she is considering referring an unresolved enforcement case at 11 Alden Street to the Department of Environmental Protection under Chapter 91 after the property owner went silent following "a very positive meeting." The board elected Jason Mello vice chair and reshuffled seats after member Jeff departed following more than 20 years and Linda Brown resigned to become an associate member. Member Bruce Schofield volunteered to represent conservation on the town's master plan implementation committee.
