School Committee · Meeting of September 8, 2026

Tyngsborough School Committee updates police pact, holds off on solar vote. Chaired by Ryan McMahon, the committee approved its August 18 and August 19 minutes 6-0 and adjourned on a 6-0 vote, with Superintendent Mike Woodlock and Assistant Superintendent Sarah Lewenczuk reporting a smooth opening across all three schools. The district finalized a new memorandum of understanding keeping school resource officer Chris Gustafson on campus for the year, adding a public complaint form and new language addressing artificial intelligence and deepfakes.

School Business Administrator Dan Hogan detailed a planned TES solar canopy, saying developer Select Energy will bear repair costs with "no additional cost or issues regarding the spaces," but a formal vote was pushed to the next meeting. Karen Krebus, a retired Hopedale superintendent coaching Woodlock through a state induction program, introduced herself, while member Michelle Joyal called the district's back-to-school open houses "just chef's kiss."
