School Committee authorizes superintendent search negotiations with Woodlock.

TYNGSBOROUGH — School Committee unanimously authorizes superintendent search negotiations with Woodlock. The committee, led by Chair McMahon, directed the Superintendent Search Subcommittee to enter contract negotiations with Mr. Woodlock to assume the superintendent role beginning July 1, 2026, following an interview conducted May 8.

The subcommittee, comprising Chair McMahon, Danielle Athanas, and Rebecca Stanton, reviewed recent local superintendent searches and succession-planning protocols. In related business, the committee ratified a Council #93 memorandum of agreement on salary scales and language by unanimous vote, approved 2026-2027 meeting dates including an additional June 16 session, and signed eight bill schedules totaling $288,247.74. Business Administrator Joseph Messina completed his final full committee meeting after 25 years serving the district.
