Fire Station Committee charts new course after ballot defeat
Fire Station Building Committee · Meeting of June 3, 2026
TYNGSBOROUGH — Fire Station Building Committee charts revised path after bond defeat. Chair Adele Coughlin convened ten members on June 3 to debrief a failed election and discuss next steps. Vice Chair Wesley Russell and members Edgar McLean, Colin Loiselle, Paul Lalicata, and others reflected on voter feedback: the public wanted a new station but at lower cost, and operational details had muddied the campaign.
Loiselle presented a two-phase approach consisting of a four- to five-week listening tour followed by project redesign. The Committee voted 8-0 to approve prior minutes and adjourned at 7:10 PM, with Loiselle drafting a survey for Committee approval on June 17.
