Fire Station Building Committee approves prior meeting minutes.
Fire Station Building Committee · Meeting of April 8, 2026
TYNGSBOROUGH — Fire Station Building Committee approves prior minutes; addresses station costs and public outreach. Chair Adele Coughlin presided over the seven-member quorum, which unanimously approved minutes from March 25 and April 6, 2026. Town Manager Colin Loiselle countered written proposals to eliminate ambulance service as a cost-cutting measure, stating such a move would reduce on-duty staffing to two firefighters.
Member Phillip Carignan questioned whether comparable fire stations had been built for less; member Pat Sands noted that smaller stations without administrative spaces cost more. The committee scheduled virtual and in-person information sessions for April 15 and 22.
