Fire Station Building Committee narrows design cuts to lowest-impact changes.
Fire Station Building Committee · Meeting of July 29, 2026
TYNGSBOROUGH — Fire Station Building Committee reaches design consensus, protecting operations. The eight-member committee, led by Chair Adele Coughlin, approved targeted cost reductions while retaining a four-bay apparatus room, fitness room, and training room as non-negotiable features. Town Manager Colin Loiselle will present final survey results to the Select Board on August 10th, with community support for moving forward and cost identified as the primary concern.
The committee modified one Category 1 reduction, capping day room cuts at 20 percent, and directed Loiselle to send the refined scope to project engineer H2M for validation.
