Select Board approves year-end transfers, Purple Heart proclamation, conservation appointments.
Select Board · Meeting of July 13, 2026
TYNGSBOROUGH — Select Board approves year-end transfers and pauses economic development committee work. The five-member board unanimously adopted a Purple Heart Community proclamation and ratified a contract with Executive Assistant Surbhi Patel. Town Manager Colin Loiselle reported a positive end-of-year financial picture for FY26 despite revenue-expenditure timing challenges.
In a detailed sewer rate presentation, DPW Superintendent Jake Zwicker and Sewer Administrator Kathy Cayer outlined a three-year rate increase to address aging infrastructure and a depleted reserve fund at approximately 150 thousand dollars against a desired level of 550 thousand dollars; the raw increase would have been 45 percent. The board appointed Jason Mello as a full member and Brigid Splaine, Esq., as an associate member of the Conservation Commission, both for three-year terms expiring June 30, 2029.
