Select Board approves battery storage project briefing, primary warrant, and licenses

Select Board · Meeting of July 27, 2026

Tyngsborough Select Board takes action on multiple licenses and approvals. The board unanimously approved and posted the September 1 State Primary Election warrant, granted one-day entertainment and liquor licenses for the August 29 block party, and revoked the all-alcohol on-premises liquor, entertainment, and common victualler licenses held by La Santa Tyngsborough LLC following the licensee's non-operation and failure to respond to board contact. The board also unanimously appointed Lynne G.

Ferreira to the Council on Aging for a three-year term and received an informational presentation from Rhynland Energy on a proposed 500-megawatt battery energy storage system at 406 Middlesex Road, requesting the company provide public-facing documentation addressing safety and noise concerns. The Fire Station Building Committee is reviewing scope reductions and exploring conversion of 100 Potash Hill Road as an alternative public safety facility.
