Select Board · Meeting of October 26, 2026
TYNGSBOROUGH — The Select Board voted 5-0 to approve a $5,207,476 bond anticipation note sale at 3.73 percent. At a short virtual special meeting, the board adopted the vote awarding the sale to Oppenheimer & Co. The notes renew maturing debt for the middle school, a fire engine, fire station design and police exterior work, and add no new projects.
Town Manager Colin Loiselle said the town expects the MSBA audit of the middle school to finish within a year. The town would then likely replace the notes with a single bond. The sale includes $4 million for the middle school, borrowed $1.4 million below its authorization, and $719,000 for the fire engine, $180,000 under what Town Meeting authorized.
Hilltop Securities handled two bids. The rate is slightly higher than last year's.
