Select Board · Meeting of September 21, 2026
Tyngsborough Select Board advanced a public safety facility plan centered on 100 Potash Hill Road and scheduled a December 5 special election. The board voted 4-1 to suspend the Fire Station Building Committee and move forward with acquisition and design of the former Lowell General Hospital administrative building, with a negotiated purchase price of $4.95 million including existing furniture. The special election will authorize debt exclusion for acquisition and design, with construction funding to be decided at a future Town Meeting.
Selectperson Konstantinos Kalabokis voted no, citing concerns about lack of final cost certainty. The board also approved liquor licenses for Just the Bartender LLC and Mami Luz's Cafe LLC, revoked licenses for Tremonte Pizzeria LLC, appointed Joseph DelGaudio to the Library Trustees, and authorized a letter to the Department of Public Utilities seeking no-fee smart meter opt-out options for residents.
