Town News Brief _ · Meeting of August 18, 2026
Tyngsborough receives commemorative Declaration of Independence copy for America 250. State Representative Colleen Gary and State Senator Vanna Howard presented the reproduction, based on a version the Commonwealth ordered printed in 1776 for public reading, to the town Monday night at the First Parish Meeting House, where residents took turns reading it aloud. The copy is now on display in the Town Hall lobby.
Separately, the Department of Public Works will conduct sewer smoke testing Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. along portions of Middlesex Road, Dunstable Road and nearby streets to locate stormwater infiltration points, with affected residents notified directly. The Sustainability Committee was set to meet Tuesday night at Town Hall, broadcast live on the Government Channel.
