Tyngsborough Sustainability Committee approves prior minutes and advances Zero Waste Day planning. With all vendors confirmed for the May 2 event, Amy Pozerski will serve as captain, and Carolyn Scafidi will post road signs, using the same parking flow as last year. The committee reported 67 bags collected in town-wide cleanup, a restored electric mower at the April 18 Repair Cafe, and 414 pounds from Holiday String Lights Collection.
Attendance at the Community Series "Roots of Resilience" has grown each event; next year the committee plans sessions on winter sowing, composting, and heat pumps. Members noted rising town waste costs and tonnage and flagged an upcoming Republic Services contract renewal requiring closer review.
