Sewer Commission adopts three-year rate increase plan unanimously

TYNGSBOROUGH — Sewer Commission unanimously adopts three-year rate increase plan following public hearing. Chair Brian J. Martin presented residential increases of 15 percent annually, raising the current $547.18 yearly rate to $660.30 in FY27, $759.35 in FY28, and $873.25 in FY29, with commercial rates climbing 22 percent each year from $8.36 to $15.19 per thousand gallons by FY29.
Sewer Administrator Kathy Cayer cited state guidance on full-cost pricing to maintain system operations. The commission also voted unanimously to transfer 440 gallons per day of excess capacity from Tyngsborough Housing Authority to 161 Westford Road Plaza for a planned coffee shop.
