Tyngsborough Sewer Commission Halts New Warden Road Connections Over Capacity Finding
Sewer Commission · Meeting of August 13, 2026
Tyngsborough Sewer Commission halts new connections on Warden Road after field crews find the eight-inch sewer main at capacity. Sewer Administrator Kathy Cayer told Chair Brian J. Martin and members Frederick H.
Perrault and Darryl Wickens at the August 13 meeting that flow assessment crews and pump station operator Paul measured the Warden Road line as full, recommending no new hookups until infrastructure is upgraded at an estimated cost of roughly $1 million or more. The finding directly affects the Flint's Corner development, whose successive developers have resisted applying for a MassWorks infrastructure grant that Cayer said carries no required local match; she said she will check the application deadline and contact property owners directly about applying. In other action, the commission unanimously approved a full refund of $7,800 in connection fees to former owners of 20 Constantine Drive who never completed their hookup, restoring 450 gallons per day of reserved capacity, and abated $256.21 in interest for a Dracut property owner who said she never received a sewer bill after purchasing her grandfather's estate.
