Select Board Creates Middlesex and Westford Road Visioning Committee
Select Board · Meeting of June 29, 2026
TYNGSBOROUGH — Select Board approves new Middlesex and Westford Road Visioning Committee. Chair Jackie Geilfuss and the full five-member board voted unanimously to establish the one-year committee, which will address zoning standards, pedestrian improvements, and utility upgrades along the corridor, replacing the Economic Development Advisory Committee. Town Manager Colin Loiselle distinguished the new panel from the Master Plan Implementation Committee, noting its broader scope and focused corridor geography.
In a joint meeting with the Fire Station Building Committee, Fire Chief Wes Russell presented internal survey results on a potential centralized station, estimating costs under $24.8 million; the FSBC is scheduled to examine cost reductions and their practical impacts at its July 15 meeting.
