Tyngsborough Seeks Resident Input on Fire Station Project Before Select Board Acts

The town is calling on residents to share their views on the future of the Fire Station Project as the Select Board and Fire Station Building Committee weigh their next steps.

Town officials launched a community feedback initiative Wednesday evening for the Fire Station Project. The Select Board and Fire Station Building Committee are actively considering next steps on the project, and residents are encouraged to weigh in before those decisions are made. Also on the town's radar this week: sewer manhole inspections are underway through Wednesday, June 24. Residents in affected areas should expect crews working near manhole covers along sewer lines.

Separately, the Council on Aging and Town Administration are gathering input on a potential shift in hours at the Center for Active Living. Residents who rely on that facility are encouraged to respond to the survey posted on the town website.

COMING UP

Both the Select Board and the Fire Station Building Committee are scheduled to meet on Monday, June 29. Given the active feedback solicitation on the fire station project, that meeting is likely to draw community interest — residents who submit feedback before then may have the most impact on the committee's deliberations.
