Tyngsborough Select Board authorizes temporary field lighting and posts full warrant for May town meetings. The board voted 5-0 to allow seasonal lighting at Bicentennial and Bridge Meadow fields through March 31, 2027, with an 8:00 PM shutoff, citing youth sports safety needs. On the 22-article warrant, the board recommended the fire station debt exclusion (4-1) and voted 4-0-1 to recommend against a citizens petition on firearms at public meetings.
Greater Lowell Technical High School presented its FY2027 budget of approximately 61 million dollars; Superintendent Jill Davis noted the school received only one transportation bid. The Fire Station Building Committee presented schematic designs and cost projections including 20 percent contingency and inflation allowances.
