Conservation Commission approves BESS tree clearing, continues five permits

Tyngsborough Conservation Commission approves battery storage tree clearing. The Commission voted unanimously to issue a Tree Clearing Permit for River Mill Storage's Battery Energy Storage System on 406 Middlesex Rd., a 28.68-acre development involving clearing and grubbing of wooded areas for system installation. Five other development permits were continued to March 24, 2026, including applications for dock replacement, five-lot residential development, seven-lot subdivision, culvert replacement, and driveway construction.
Conservation Director Emilie Brush reported on applications; voting members present included Chair Ed Derby, Bruce Schofield, Patrick Mical, Linda Brown, and associate member Robert Wood.
