Committee Recommends $70,000 for Sherburne Nature Center Roof

TYNGSBOROUGH — CPC recommends $70,000 for Sherburne Nature Center roof restoration. The Community Preservation Committee voted unanimously Wednesday to recommend the roof restoration funding, which is designed to improve the building's deteriorated condition and enable public recreational access. The committee also unanimously approved $5,000 for Historical Commission document-scanning and $3,500 for Lake Massapoag invasive weed treatment.
In a separate 6-0-1 vote with Larry Clawson abstaining, the committee approved $10,000 for Lake Masscuppic weed treatment. All funding recommendations advance to Annual Town Meeting consideration.
