Tyngsborough Planning Board Blocks Yellow House Cannabis Opening Until Curbs Are Installed

TYNGSBOROUGH — April 17, 2025 — Tyngsborough Planning Board continues Yellow House Cannabis hearing for a second time, citing traffic safety concerns. The board informally backed three of four modifications sought by Yellow House Cannabis LLC for its 405-409 Middlesex Road facility — approval of a four-foot building relocation, adjusted landscaping, and a revised slope-planting plan using native dwarf sweet spire — but declined to allow the business to open while required granite curbing remains uninstalled. Member David Robson said flatly he "will not be approving" any opening until granite is fully in place, pointing to near-daily resident complaints about pedestrian chaos at the nearby Nature's Remedy dispensary. Attorney Douglas DeShane, of Finneran and Nicholson, said the company has spent more than $4 million on the facility and has hired and trained a local workforce ready to start. The hearing was continued to May 1. In other action, the board unanimously approved a special permit for the Nashua Cougars Cheer Center, a nonprofit youth athletics program, to operate at 45 Middlesex Road in an I-1 zone.
