Sewer Commission approves connection for Middlesex Road property

Sewer Commission approved connection at 36 Middlesex Road after property failed septic inspection.

Sewer Commission · Meeting of September 24, 2026

TYNGSBOROUGH — Sewer Commission approved connection at 36 Middlesex Road after property failed septic inspection. The commission also adjusted billing for Washerville Car Wash at 426 Middlesex Road, approving a methodology that subtracts 13 percent of water usage from sewer flow measurements; the car wash was averaging 17,132 gallons per day against its 4,950 gallon-per-day allotment and would need 31 additional ERUs, according to Sewer Administrator Kathy Cayer. The commission approved a $165.07 abatement for a Spring Street resident whose property was miscoded as two-family instead of single-family with an in-law apartment, and directed Cayer to notify the Dunkin Donuts owner at 440 Middlesex Road to reinstall a removed grease trap by December 31, 2026, or face a fine.
