Sewer Commission approves 2/12 meeting minutes, plans grant applications.

Sewer Commission · Meeting of February 26, 2026

Tyngsborough Sewer Commission approves prior minutes and advances federal grant strategy. Chair Brian J. Martin, Member Frederick H.

Perrault, and Member Darryl Wickens voted unanimously to approve February 12 meeting minutes. Sewer Administrator Kathy Cayer recommended Phase 1 East, comprising five streets and at least one pump station, as a candidate for Senator Markey's and Senator Warren's fiscal year 2027 congressional appropriations opening March 16 with April 3 deadline; a 20 percent local match would be required. Member Perrault raised concerns about weekend emergency coverage procedures that were not previously disclosed to the commission, citing safety issues with Highway Department employees accessing pump stations.

The commission confirmed removal of reserved flow capacity from 32 Worden Road after the property sold and the approval letter was returned undelivered.
