Council on Aging · Meeting of January 20, 2026
Tyngsborough's Council on Aging approved prior meeting minutes and discussed ways to boost participation in evening programming. The board voted 5-0-2 to accept November 2025 minutes and suggested adding trivia, healthy living lectures, and comedy nights to supplement the biweekly Bingo program to attract younger, still-working seniors. Director Barbara Roche reported the council is on budget for the fiscal year and is working on Policy and Procedure Manual updates.
The Dementia Friendly Subcommittee plans a Memory Cafe on February 25, with dementia awareness sessions later in spring, while Assistant Town Manager Sean Walsh investigates a $3,100 to $3,600 grant for an automatic interior door.
